My grandmother passed away Monday morning. The following link will take you to her obituary. Thank you for your prayers for the family during this time. (i know the photo is blurry, but it’s the best one we had.)

As we spend the day relaxing, it seems like a good time to reflect back on the year we’ve had.
Blue Star definitely had an amazing year of growth & prosperity. We are very thankful to God for blessing the work of our hands, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our clients to the best of our knowledge and skills.
Personally, we’ve had a pretty interesting year.
- Florida vacation to visit Jamesie’s parents
- stepped aside from leadership of young adult group at Zion Chapel after 3 years
- annual LaCasa Help-A-House volunteer duties
- discovered our pseudo-green thumb with new additions to our landscaping
- our sixth freedom fest party on the 4th of July
- 1st time visit to Cedar Point for Jamesie’s parents
- Mom O’Toole riding 3 roller coasters
- Indoor water park fun like we were kids again
- 1st time visit to The Poconos for Jon to visit Dad O’Toole’s family
- Started Domestic Adoption Process this summer ** this was HUGE for us!
- Day trip to downtown Chicago
- Fostering a newborn kitty for a few days
- 1st Indianapolis Colts game for Jamesie in the new stadium
- Jamesie became a Twitterholic (addicted to twitter)
- both of us finally joined facebook (to date, Jamesie has 180 friends and Jon has 52 friends)
- finished prepping the baby’s room/jon’s office with fresh paint, new furniture and a tiny, but fun fan
- and of course, various parties for friends & family throughout the year that just makes us grateful for such amazing people in our lives
- discovered one of our favorite restaurants: Kelly Jae’s
- watched Grandma Morningstar play Wii boxing with Jon
- watched Grandpa Gingerich (who is legally blind) Wii bowl with Jon & Grandma M
- celebrated new year’s eve at Fiddler’s Hearth with their Hogmanay menu
Wow, what a year. We have been busy. and 2009 will be as full and as productive. We are looking forward to what God has in store for us, with Blue Star and all that it has going for it. and we are waiting for that phone call that will change our lives forever…
