Well, the year is basically over, and as I take a moment to reflect what I’ve done this year, I realized just how full our lives are. It’s a good thing, really. Just a wow moment of seeing just how busy I’ve been…
Here are some of my memories of the year 2007:
- the truck window failing to go up during freezing weather in IndyÂ
- major accident on the way to floridaÂ
- Mom & Dad Morningstar’s new house
- lacasa’s help-a-house 2007
- an appreciation dinner from our lifeSOURCE friends
- Memorial Day Bash
- Annual Freedom Fest party
- our 8th year of marriage
- O’Toole Ohana trip to Hawaii
- Cedar Point
- The Post Thanksgiving meal
- Berkeley losing 3 of his teeth
- new children of our family & friends - Ezra, Nathaniel, Clara and Davi
- rediscovering TupperToys
- getting bangs for the 1st time in 15 years
- midnight shopping on Black Friday for the 1st time
- 40 Days of Community
- playing city league volleyball with my husband

So tonight I got to play with Ezra (my cousin Danette’s son) for the first time since July. They are visiting his family and their old friends while here from Hawaii. I was so excited to see him, and his parents, that I couldn’t keep still. As soon as I finished my meal I had to sit and be with him. He is just SOOO CUTE!
While I think the present I gave him was interesting, it didn’t nearly keep him as occupied as the toys with wheels (Fisher Price your rotary pull-along telephone is classic!), the kiddie-sized shopping cart (to walk behind) or the box the present came in. But hey, I tried! It’s hard to pick toys for little people – you just never know if it will entice them enough.
However, we did get a photo moment while he played. Once he realized he was being photographed, Ezra definitely hammed it up for me! Funny kid. I love my hapa nephew!
